Welcome to Flo + Friends!

Flo and I started our adventure together in Baltimore,MD. but with my original roots being here in Iowa we hit the road and now Iowa is where we call home. Living in a busy city in an apartment I came to realize how important it was to have a safe place for Flo to go to meet new friends, let out some of that energy and just be able to enjoy herself when I was not dragging her to the salon where my clients would request her presence during their services, I learned fast they were not there to see me, but to see Flo. With the change in zip codes, I decided to follow my dream and change my career as well, change is hard enough why not change it all at once! So we traded in our apartment for an acreage where we will live out our dreams of no more leash walks, no more poop bags and no more long days at the salon, instead wide open spaces and frolicking with friends. We look forward to sharing this new adventure with everyone who becomes part of our Flo + Friends crew!

Flo + Friends - My mission

When I started Flo + Friends I did it with the happiness of my dogs in mind. I wanted to create an environment that I would be thrilled to put my dogs in, and believe me when I say my dogs are pampered! I want your dogs to feel the same way when they are here. I want them to be excited to be here and play with their friends and come home to you happy and tired.

I do not accept dogs for boarding that cannot be a part of group play. In my experience when the dogs get more time outside of their kennel it makes for a more positive boarding experience. If I have dogs who are older or prefer more quiet time, I am happy to accommodate their needs.

My commitment is to the happiness and safety of all dogs when they are staying at Flo + Friends. You will find us running in the snow, playing with the balls, splashing in the pool and just sitting outside in the sun as much as we can. I know how hard it is to leave your furry family members but I promise I will take care of them just like they are my own!

For fun all day no matter the weather, Flo + Friends LLC. is the place to be. Dogs can enjoy outside play in our large fenced in area and indoor play on those days that we just can’t enjoy the outdoors a much as we wish we could. Flo + Friends LLC. is all about quality over quantity limiting our play groups to 15 dogs to make more comfortable for the dogs and their owners as well. With keeping the groups smaller the spots fill up fast. Daycare is by reservation only so call today to schedule a day of play!

Full day daycare packages:

1 Full Day : $25.00

5 Full Days : $120.00

10 Full Days : $230.00

Daycare hours: Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. by reservation only.

Daycare drop off: 7:00am-9:00am - Daycare pickup 4:00pm-5:30pm

Full Day (24 hours) $40.00 ( includes playtime, updates, meds, whatever they need!)

Additional dog, same kennel (24 hours) $25.00 (Includes everything as well)

If you are unable to pick up with in the 24 hours there will be an additional charge of

$23.00 - Day charge if not picked up within the 24 hour window.

Holidays include : Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.

POLICIES

To ensure a safe and healthy environment for your dog, Flo + Friends, LLC. requires the owners of all dog daycare, boarding attendees to read and comply with the following and Regulations. Flo + Friends, LLC. may, at any time, and at our sole discretion, modify these Terms and Conditions of Use, including our Privacy Policy, with or without notice to the User. Any such modification will be effective immediately upon public posting. Your continued use of our Service and this Site following any such modification constitutes your acceptance of these modified terms.

AGE; SPAY/NEUTER:

All dogs must be at least 4 months old and have completed their puppy series of vaccinations. All dogs over the age of 6 months must be spayed or neutered.

VACCINATIONS:

Owners must submit written proof from their veterinarian that their dog has received the following vaccinations (and such vaccinations must be current): Parvo, distemper, rabies, and bordatella (kennel cough is required for boarding dogs only). Please note that the bordetella vaccine must be administered at least 7 days prior to attending Flo + Friends, LLC.

HEALTH:

All dogs must be in good health. Dogs with an illness, stitches or open wound will not be admitted until they have sufficiently recovered or healed. The client understands that all dogs must be treated with a flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Flo + Friends LLC. reserves the right to take dog(s) to vet if necessary. Client is responsible for all charges including vet fees and transportation fees.

BEHAVIOR:

All dogs must be non-aggressive and should not be possessive of territory or toys. Owners must certify that their dog has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other dog. Flo + Friends LLC. does not accept aggressive dogs since all dogs have interaction with others. Client understands if dog is found to be aggressive or displays behavioral problems, dog will no longer be allowed to participate. Flo + Friends LLC. will process a refund for unused days.

FOOD/SNACKS;

All dogs may be fed treats provided by Flo + Friends, LLC. During birthday celebrations there may also be treats provided by owners, please make sure to communicate in writing if you do not want your dog to participate.

PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION:

Flo + Friends, LLC can only administer prescription medication at Owner’s request, under the direction of a licensed veterinarian and in accordance with the labeled instructions on the medication container.

ENTERING AND EXITING THE BUILDING:

All dogs must remain on a leash while entering and exiting the building. It is a new environment and near a busy highway. I do not want to put them in danger.

RESERVATIONS:

Reservations are required for boarding services.

HOLIDAY POLICY: IF YOU CANCEL WITHIN 10 DAYS OF YOUR RESERVATION OR NO SHOW YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING HALF OF WHAT THE CONFIRMED RESERVATION TOTAL WOULD HAVE BEEN.

FEES:

Flo + Friends, LLC current fees for dog services are listed on the rates page and at the facility. These fees may change at any time by Flo + Friends, LLC posting the changes on its website and at its facility. All fees are due and payable at the time that services are provided. A $35.00 fee is charged for all returned check.

ADMISSION:

Prior to any dog attending Flo + Friends, LLC, Owner must complete and submit an admission questionnaire, along with an immunization record, prior to receiving any services from Flo + Friends, sign a waiver. Flo + Friends is entitled to deny admittance to any dog for any reason in its sole discretion because of safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

Why don't I do tours right now you ask . . . . I lost my help over the past year due to homeschooling and business was slow, and now I just can't find reliable amazing help so I choose to do it on my own so I know its done how I want it. But also I love the dogs see me, they feel safe, I know all of the dogs personalities and its just such a relief.

For the safety of the dogs, myself and the dog owners I do not allow tours during business hours, which are way longer than what is listed on my website of course.

With that being said I am open 7days a week for months and months on end with out a day off, and during that time there are always dogs in the building.

They are spoiled here and I take pride knowing that I am the face they get to see and feel safe with all the time.

I own and run this business alone. So there is no one to help me watch the dogs outside while I give a tour inside.

I know this is not ideal for everyone, and if you don't feel safe boarding your dogs here or bringing them to daycare here without a tour I completely understand and respect your decision and wish there were more hours in the day and other options to make that able to happen. Though I do find most people respect my choice because they know I have their dogs safety and comfort on the top of my list.

When I finally have a weekend off which possibly happens every 3 months or so and sometimes even longer, I spend the weekend giving tours, and that's just not fair to me I should be able to enjoy some time off just like everyone else, a chance to disconnect a chance to escape the everyday routines which is hard anyways when I live and work on my property, and always have cleaning and projects to do.

I am hoping to have a professional videographer come and take a video so I am able to give a virtual tour! I am willing to do a FaceTime call and or a short but sweet meet and greet in the lobby if you don't mind dogs talking in the background.

I want you to feel comfortable and know that your dog is well taken care of when they are here, if you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me. This could change when and if I can find some responsible reliable amazing help. But for now this is a hard decision that I have had to make.
